The wedding was such a wonderful time for the both of us. We really enjoyed every aspect of it and if you are one of the people that were involved in making it so great...THANK YOU! We could not have asked for a better group of friends and family and the day was perfect. Here is a link to Primrose Cottage (a great place for a wedding) if anyone is interested! http://www.primrosecottage.com/
When we returned home to Ocala after all of the festivites we were excited to find out that Greg would be the new Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Trinity Catholic High School...and the craziness began.
The beginning of the school year was wild. Greg was teaching at Forest High School and coaching at Trinity. Nedless to say he was back and forth a lot. We also were out of school for four days of the first week of school because of tropical storm Fay. It only rained hard for one day but we still missed four days of school, that, of course, had to be made up later (on our days off). After we finally returned I was informed that I was going to have to leave my first grade class and move to kindergarten. Not only was I so sad to be leaving my babies, but I was a little scared of kindergarten. It was a rough part of the year, but it worked out in the end and I loved the kinders!!
Right after the grade level move we decided to buy a house, hmmm. We were just "looking" and stumbled upon one that we both loved!! Luckily we had a wonderful family friend/realtor to help us in the process. The house was a foreclosure so we had to get the appliances and some fans, but other than that it was in great shape!! We were so excited about the house and our rental company said that they would let us out of our lease, so we got it. About a month later we recieved a certified letter from the rental company saying that we owed them two months rent and a bunch of silly repairs/cleaning fees. We were not happy because they had already told us that we were "good" when we turned in the keys. Not to mention that we cleaned that place so good when we left. Anyways...a friend of Gregs is a lawyer and he solved the situation for us. The company wanted to sue us for barely anything and luckily they backed down...WHEW!
The front of the house before we moved in.
(I need to take some pictures with the updated landscaping)
That takes us up to October and our first 3 months of marriage! Thats all for now...more to come later!
awww...that is SO exciting! I'm so happy we met and are friends! Sounds like y'all did have a wild first year!.....
